I always wanted the HCG William Birkin statue but the finish always looked so lackluster. When I got it in person I was still unimpressed. The first photo is how it looked originally and anything after is my repaint. I am not an artist by any means and this was my first time painting a statue. I used brushes only and might even get **** for the acrylic paint from Michael's but it's always worked for me. I used flash to take the photos to highlight the layers I used.

How'd I do? Comments?

I'm not a painter - just a collector who knows what looks good - but ****, that looks amazing.

I'm really impressed. Great job and thanks for sharing. The lines look ridiculously clean as does the paint.

Thank you!!!! I always thought I'd need an airbrush to paint statues but I think I figured out the way to go and I'm really happy with the results now.
