Movie/TV show rituals

Before a sequel comes out I try to watch the previous installments the week or two before it premieres in the theatre.

(James Bond movies are a pain...)

I try do this too! Not with James Bond movies though.
I only watched Casino Royale again before going to see Quantum Of Solace.

With some movies it's really helpful doing this, because of the little things you otherwise might have forgot.

There are no James Bond movies before Casino Royale....

As for rituals mine are all around holidays and things like that.

Christmas: Love Actually, Christmas Story (Usually the 24 hours on TBS) and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Jingle All the Way.

Halloween: Usually Halloween and Friday the 13th Part 3, although last couple of years we watched the first Scream as well.

Birthday: Breakfast Club and Gone in 60 Seconds for the past few years.

Easter: True Lies, one year it was on in the background of a cousin's house and the next year surprisingly it was on at my in-laws, the next year we joked "Where is True Lies?" and since then someone always brings it.

First Weekend of Summer Vacation: A gluttony of 90s teen comedies including Can't Hardly Wait, 10 Things I Hate About You, She's All That, American Pie and a bunch of others. Not sure why but we always seem to do it....

I always watch home alone during x mas season too.

Growing up that movie "cool world" was always on tv during the christmas season. I never paid much attention to it but i vividly remember it being on. Never understood why.

If possible, I watch every movie in the Halloween series in order on Halloween day, but if it's a word day or something, I at least watch the original.

Every Christmas Eve I watch National Lampoon's Christmas vacation.

Before the new season of LOST, I used to (for about 2 or 3 weeks before the season premier) watch every episode to refresh myself. Now, since it's so long, I just read up on it on wikipedia. Would take me forever to rewatch the whole series now
