No price announcement today, but they did say to expect pricing to be in line with Ultrabook pc prices. That's make it between $600-$1000 by my guess.

I guess a kickstand, which is a nice feature, is lots of moving parts.

If it was a Ipad, it would be considered super dupper innovative and patented immediately by Apple.

This won't sell a quarter of what iPad has sold. Wrong price point. They needed to beat apple and will fail.

Added more specs to op.

They managed to get a Core i5 in there?! That's pretty impressive.

Cause the market is only large enough for ipad? :dunno

MS doesn't need to do anything.

Yes they do if they want to compete in the tablet market. They need a cool product at a cheaper price point than apples $499 basic iPad. If you don't believe me I'm not wasting my time trying to convince you to think otherwise. The sales results will show another fail. Just like most every other tablet trying to compete with apple.

the galaxy tab has more to offer than the ipad. :dunno

i think that's why apple didnt include that cheap gimmick. :lol

i think they are in the wrong category....they're competing against the macbook air, not the ipad.lolz

That's actually pretty cool, but still if it is better than the iPad it will be unlikely to do nearly as well.

I agree. I'm sure this will be superior to iPad in many ways. Hell I cant wait to ditch my PC all together and use solely a table. That will be here in the next couple years.

The problem is they are trying to compete in the wrong category as stated above. Time will tell. However I wouldnt be investing in Microsoft anytime soon based on what I see here. This is their next Zune.
