Heh! Cheers man. I hadn't even thought about making these to sell, it was just chucked together with stuff I had laying around. To be honest, its one of those projects that if you costed out the time, materials, shipping etc it probably wouldn't be cost effective.

But it was really easy to make (I'm no great model maker!), just have a go, cardboard, styrene, PVA..... These are your friends, embrace them, ypull be recycling at the same time, so your saving the planet while you create great art!

It'd be a crime not to try!

This movie must have some nostalgic value for you guys, because it didn't really do much for me. I didn't really fully understand why things were happening sometimes. The fluidity of some of the animation was pretty nice though.

Anyway. Nice custom work

Nostalgia yes, but perspective also.
You've seen it in an age where artwork is drastically altered from when this was a new movie in the late 80's. The movie was just mind blowing compared to anything I had ever seen the first time I saw Akira.

My collection continues to expand....my reissue and masterpiece Transformers are starting to take up more space. And I live in a small room in Japan so there's not much space to begin with.

So today I boxed up Kaneda and Tetsuo and the bike and put them back in the closet. They were just taking up TOO much space!! And I always worry during earthquakes about the bike falling over and getting ruined.

Maybe I just need a more stable place to display them. But for now I don't have it, so back in storage they go for the time being.

Is it weird that I actually feel GUILTY about not displaying this?
