I tend to agree. I miss sprites badly, and I think SNK2 is the absolutely top tier sprite fighting game ever done.

According to the article, Capcom's license for the Marvel characters expired in 2013, which is why MvC 2 and 3 were pulled from PSN and Xbox Live.

Also explains why every copy of Ultimate MvC I look to buy is upwards of $50 when I use to see it available for $15. Should've bought it when I had a chance.

A lot of the programming for the character models exist already from the previous game

They'll probably include every character already playable in
Previous games along with

Black Panther
Gamora
Angela
Daredevil
Groot
Punisher
Luke Cage etc etc

Infinity Gems will be apart of the platform mechanics

We'll probably still see
Wolverine
X-23
Storm
Dead pool
Magneto
Doom
Phoenix
Etc

Ported over

If it has the expected characters then it obviously will be a day one purchase, any other MCU characters will just be the icing on the cake.
