I'm not too big on comics, but I'd recommend Alan Moore's "Providence", set in a parallel, lovecraftian universe.

Bunn's ANAD series, right? I'm pulling it, and while it does feel more like an X-Force book rather than an X-Book, it's the best of the 3 choices (Extraordinary and All-New being the other 2). Plus, I might be one of the 10 people or so who actually like Fantomex, so yeah, there's that as well. I'd reccomend it, truth be told, it's well-written and features Bunn's awesome Magneto (he wrote his solo as well).

As far as what I'd suggest, here's my list:

Marvel: Ultimates, Uncanny X-Men, Black Panther, Darth Vader, Deadpool, Vision
Indies: Ninjak, Bloodshot, East of West, Black Science, Low, James Bond

As for upcoming stuff, I'd keep an eye out for: Moon Knight, The Black Monday Murders, Priest's Deathstroke, King's Batman, Moonshine
