Update:
The Kickstarter is live!
Eon Quest 5.5'' Collectible Action Figures by Jon Wesley Huff — Kickstarter

Hello fellow toy lovers! I'm extremely excited to announce to you my new line of action figures, Eon Quest!
5.5'' tall, with 6POA, Series 1 is coming to Kickstarter in October. All this week on Facebook/Twitter I'm revealing one of the five figures in Series 1. I also just showed off the key art featuring a look at the heroes of the line.

Here's the graphic for reveal week (the remaining figures are all villains, therefor not pictured above):

And here are the characters revealed so far:

Starbreaker
Last of the Gammerons
Thousands of years ago, the Gammerons were the mightiest beings in the Ninth Galaxy, and worshipped as gods by many planets. Then, suddenly, they were struck by a terrible affliction that wiped out nearly their entire race. Only Starbreaker managed to escape being infected. Starbreaker wandered the cosmos, alone and haunted by his failure to save his people, until he was recruited to lead Lord Eon’s team of heroes. Nearly indestructible, but not immortal, Starbreaker can survive the vacuum of space and is incredibly strong. He wields the Starhammer, a powerful weapon forged in the fires of the Gammeron home world. In keeping with Gammeron tradition, his weapon is chained to his arm—a constant reminder that beings with such power should temper their might, or be consumed by it.

Uplink
Technopath of the Gradius Cluster!
Uplink hails from a highly planned, structured utopian project called the Gradius Cluster. The Cluster consists of seven independent, artificial worlds and is home to over twenty different species. The homogenized culture of the Cluster has largely rejected technology except for the most basic functions of supporting life in space. This meant that when, at a young age, Uplink discovered he could directly interface with and control any technological system, he became something of an outcast. Although he eventually won the respect of his people, he jumped at the chance of leaving the Cluster behind and joining the team Lord Eon was assembling. Uplink carries with him a self-designed Multi-hacker. Although it has some limited defensive capabilities, the main purpose of this tool is to help him infiltrate technological systems without the need for a direct interface, as using his powers can carry some unusual side effects when done too frequently.

Wednesday's reveal:

10646638_395620487253463_1072958445461642512_n.jpg

Captain Wolfmoon™
Cyborg Space Pirate
Captain Wolfmoon’s origins are mysterious, as he doesn’t conform to any known species in the Ninth Galaxy. He is captain of the PirateStar, an old cargo ship extensively re-fashioned into a representation of an old sea vessel. His “crew” consists of three service robots and his loyal companion, Dragat™. Cunning and ruthless when he needs to be, Wolfmoon’s primary passion in life is hunting for treasure. At some point, he has undergone major cybernetic modifications to his left eye, left arm and right leg. He’s very skilled with his Wolfsabre weapon, and certainly has no qualms using it if someone comes between him and his treasure.

Re: Eon Quest - My New Line of 5.5'' Action Figures!

I really like the designs. Cool throwback to old he man and turtles figures. Only design I don't love is uplink, otherwise I think they're all awesome!

Thanks Dr. Odd! I appreciate you checking it out. :)

Tomorrow is the big day! Today I posted a rough mock-up of the packaging, still in progress:

Thanks Burning Saber! I appreciate you checking it out and considering it. :)

Sorry if I missed some info somewhere, but....

First off, the comic previews look impressive, the characters look great, your Eon site is top notch and everything is so professional, it just makes me proud to see a fellow freak pulling something like this together, but a couple questions....

Are the other characers in development, will the comic be ongoing, will there be a full sized 'collected' version of the first round mini comits ( sorry, was never a huge fan of mini comics, just love the standard size)?

I'm gonna pledge regardless of your future plans, it's too cool to see you putting this together and the figures definitely do have that nostalgia feel, kind of gives me a He-man bred with Crystar feel, love the 80's groove. :clap

Thanks a ton Niltusk! That's awesome of you. I'm all too happy to answer your questions!

- Turnarounds exist for all the main heroes. The plan is definitely, right now, to have more Series of figures, and each one is planned to have a mini-comic. To me the figures and the comics are pretty much of equal importance. I would love to re-print the comics some day in a larger format. They'd never be quite standard comic size because the proportions are different (in line with vintage MOTU minis) but they could be much, much larger. But that'd be pretty far in the future, probably collecting a few series worth of mini-comics.

Gotcha! Very cool, hope this has great success, looks like its taking off well. Thanks for the quick answers Jon. Watched your video, can tell you're definitely a proud papa of your creation. :duff

Thanks, man! So far, it's going well! Still a ways to go, but quite a few days to do it, too. :)

I thought I'd post the full mini-comic here for easy perusal:

There's a second video update, that just went live. This takes a closer look at the Uplink proto:

Eon Quest Video Update 2 - YouTube

Also, I'm excited to announce the winners of the Eon Quest poster print contest - Luke Schmidt and Dominick Agostino! Their prints are on the way!

Kickstarter-wise, we are farther behind that I'd hoped we might be. But there's still three weeks to go! I took part in an interview for a podcast earlier this morning, and have another one coming up later tonight. I'll post as soon as those are up. There are a few mentions and features that have gone up too. I'm hoping all that'll help get the word out - but as much as you can, please share the Kickstarter with your friends and anywhere you think people might be interested!

There's a feature on the .Org about the line, if people haven't seen it:
He-Man.org > News > MOTU Fan Legacies: Eon Quest

Also, Eon Quest was mentioned in the latest Toy Break and the Nerd City podcast!

Toy Break:

And, finally, here are some pictures of the refined Uplink factory proto, which I talk about more in the video update above:

Have you not pledged for the Eon Quest Kickstarter?

I'd love to get your feedback, heading into the second half of the Kickstarter campaign. Not just the backers, but those who are on the fence or have decided not to pledge, too. It'll be really invaluable not just to make some changes right now, but also to the future of Eon Quest, too! Please share the link with anyone and everyone you can.
