Who would be keen if SS used kickstarter. Maybe that could be a option to keep the line going, if things are bad, plus might be worth more for the collectors in the long run.
Its worked for other companies, why not SS.:lecture

Hey guys, Walmart doesn't carry SSC. Maybe Walmart should do a kickstarter.
 
It's a place where people can give a company money in order to start something.

Say you want to make pants but need a expensive industrial sewing machine and you have no money. Start up a kickstart page and people can send you money to get off the ground in return for whateve you want to give them, in this case, your pants.

It is also a way for people to take the money and run.
 
So you give money to SSC and in return you get a product? Pretty sure they already have that setup.
