Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Wow! Phenomenal work Wor-Gar. Goldfinger is one of the all time greatest villains. You did him justice.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Thank you, Owl, that's very kind. I think sometimes people forget that customizing is a fun part of the hobby too.

Ah... the recipe. Of course.

Head: DiD Achbach -- with a toothpick inside his head to keep him fat; bit of hair added at the corners; repainted by me (I tried)
Body: DiD with a home-made "Goldfinger pear-shaped" fat-suit
Dinner Jacket: HT Leslie Cheung (longer than BR Wayne but that could work) -- let out in 7 places for fatness, painted with iridescent acrylic mix for shiny silk effect (can't really see in pics but it shines like the movie)
Tux shirt: MI6 Agent Paul -- let out in the back of course
Pants: DiD Churchill
Bow Tie: Toys City -- made into 'batwing bowtie'
Shoes: DiD Martin Luther King
Fat Hands: ZCWO PTU Tong hands
Bling: buttons on shirt + coat + cuffs -- loose tabs gold leafed; cufflinks, watch, ring -- built + gold leafed

Blast -- just noticed in these pictures that his handkerchief is popping out. It's always somethin'...

wow! that looks so awesome! :rock

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

For a nice Goldfinger henchman you can take the DID Churchill Suit with the grey pinstripe pants. It fits the Oddjob movie outfit very well.
The Oddjob figure on this picture is a fast and raw kitbash, ´cause i ,ve got mine just a few days ago, and combined the Oddjob Sideshow head with the Churchill body and fat suit. I just had not enough time to shorten the body for a better shape.

You are correct!

I've had those Churchill pants for several years now sitting in a box waiting for tailoring and me to get back into a Bond mood. Obviously I'm back. Problem with Churchill stuff is its made for a really, really fat body. My Goldfinger Churchill pants are almost too big for tubby Goldfinger. I plan on taking in the pants at both seams to fit my Oddjob -- baggy but not obese.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

A golfbag would be for me the perfect accessory for Oddjob. Would pose him wearing it over his shoulders and the mini golfbal in his other hand to be crushed (not screen correct, I know)
Never could find one in 1/6 scale.

And a nice Nick Nack is something that needs to be made one day!

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Phenomenal wor-gar!!!

I was looking at the prop for goldfingers jacket in person yesterday,

It has gold threads in the black which give it that irredentist effect. I can see you captured that from your pics.

It's a great idea I need to do that with anothe figure I've been working in.

I have to say in tempted to make a goldfonger based on your recipe!

You´re right, Wor-Gar, The pants are very large and will only fits with some sewing modifications, especialy for the lenght on an shorter body. But i will do the work ´cause the tiny nice pinstripe pattern is so perfect for this character – it´s a „must be“! But before all of this i look out for a shorter body which i can change to the typical Oddjob-Brick Wall style like your perfect Oddjob 3.0 version.

Golf Bag for Oddjob:

amacord:
look out on ebay for „miniature golf cart“ or „Barbie golf bag“. Most of them are made as one piece soft vinyl bags for Barbie, sadly coloured in this styleless brain burning pink. But with a small acrylic paint job, they will work.

Thank you for the help Dieselpunk.
Many years ago someone talked about a version that came with a teddybear. With some small adjustments this came most close to version in the film.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

has anyone ever used this medicom head? just wondering if its good enough to warrant using on a bond custom.

Thank you very much, Ray!

It took a very long time to figure out all the correct parts but hopefully this will help others be able to finally have an Auric Goldfinger on their shelves.

I agree -- the pants are perfect. Curious to see how you do.

Yes! I've been trying to get that one planned for years also... but I don't have a single part yet because of the unique nature of the character and stature. But my list is getting very short now as I complete grails... and Nick Nack is due soon.

I know Me and Raymond f bought one loose each.

It does have a great likeness. But I've never used it. I Think it's great for a casino royale/quantum bond figure
