Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Just won a DiD MI6 Agent "Jack" on ebay... so I'm committed.

I think it was Roger who swapped the DiD tux for the Sideshow Connery Dr. No one, and I may do the same (those lame ribbon-cuffs really bug me). But if I do, I'll need a replacement tux for the DiD "Craig". I think the verycool tux is too slim for my tastes, is there any other tux that is good for Craig?

I've thought of doing that too. I've considered getting this suit to replace Craig's:

1/6 Scale Mens Tuxedo Suit - Blue

Umm, not exactly, I never had the DID tux. I put the Connery tux and shoes (my shirt is TTL and the bow tie is, I think, ACI) on a spare DID body and am waiting to get the Jack HS from Collectable Kitbash.

That old tux still stands up and it does fit the DID body well. I always intended my Craig Bond to be a bash.

Yep, that's the blue tux that I liked originally but I do not think I want to have to buy another body so it will fit.

Maybe I'll give the jacket to SS Connery, and just have an undone look for "Craig" -- jacket-less with undone bowtie. Like in the final scene at the table in Casino Royale.

I must be thinking of someone else then, sorry.

I have it in blue and black and I think they fit perfectly on KO HT bodies contrary to what's been said...:cuckoo:

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I can't take pictures at the moment as my camera is broken, but yes, it is a narrow shoulder. I have a Connery and Craig on these and they look really fine. The only thing is they don't provide socks with the suit and you have to add some because in some stances, you see the ankles, and that looks bad.

The trick is that you have to slide the shoulders of the narrows in their uppermost position, and once done, the suit looks awesome! :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Just got my notice from UrbanSamurai for my DiD MI6 Agent Jack so I'll post some comparison pics with my other Craig Bond once it arrives.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Sad day for those of us waiting for the Craig sculpt from BBKILL. The scale is off on his final and he states it will not work on a regular sized body - it's only intended for slim bodies as shown in his test images.

I'm sure someone can still make a great looking custom, but I really dislike the test images in the thread for scale. The facial features and likeness look great, too bad.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

He did mention Narrow shoulder bodies though...

I can't help but think that information is incorrect, because "narrow shoulder" bodies are the pretty much the same as current "regular" except less muscular arms and the shoulders a couple of mm less width. Someone just recently took measurements in a thread to confirm this.

Slim is completely different, smaller in every dimension and for every body part. If you want a 6' Harrison Ford you'll also need to heighten a slim body.

Like I sid before, I'm sure someone can make a good looking custom with either head - it's just going to be tough to scale properly with clothing and especially against other figures you may have in your collection.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

The Narrow is still the right body, and is probably what all the suits and tuxes anybody does will be tailored for. BBKill's head will be fine. It may even fit the DID Jack body.

I'm not sure I want one now though, I don't really feel much like painting a head when I can get Jack's head and have it painted better than I could ever do it.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

If the head properly fits a narrow in scale then it will perfectly fit a regular. That's not what was indicated in his thread.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

He's arrived................

Literally just got him, so haven't had a whole lot of time, but first impressions are.... good. The tux is really nice, much nicer than I thought. The shoes are nice and shiny with real laces. Bowtie is a bit large but nice, needs some futzing.

And the face. Well, sure, it's not a perfect Craig... but it ain't bad. There's no dismissing the elongated face -- even in person -- but on the whole it's very nicely made and very recognizable. I imagine I will have more than one Craig on my shelf in time, so this one will work nicely for now. Besides, the paint apps and eyes are really amazing and help sell the 'reality' of this little guy.

In a few more years, Craig may actually end up looking like this. :)

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Yeah, the movie is perfectly fine.....

Considering the movie gave perhaps one of the deepest relationships presented in ANY Bond film so far, and some of the most interesting character moments in the entire series....yeah, gonna have to say no to your opinion there. Still baffles me, and it always will.

It seems to you that what you have to say is more fact than opinion and that anyone else who doesn't agree has an invalid opinion. Why is that?

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I cant friggin' wait to put my bond together using bbkills epic sculpt. It seems after years of trying we're getting a near perfect DC sculpt.

Its been a while since I had that buzz you get when searching for parts on ebay, to waiting for them to arrive, to receiving them, to trying them on your bash.

Cant wait :) :lol

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

I've asked in the BB thread with no reply, but anyone obtain any paint quotes yet?

I'm waiting on one myself as well as a discounted price for volume - if it's good, I'll spread the word and see if anyone else is interested.

Re: OFFICIAL JAMES BOND THREAD

Nope, nothing as of yet.

That's not a bad idea, we could maybe have all the heads that would be going to the same painter shipped in one from bbkill.

That would be the best idea. If we could find a great painter with a reasonable price, and anybody who wanted the sculpt painted could send them.
