Thought I would throw up a couple of pics of my first attempts at sculpting.

The only other sculpting I have done was nearly 20 years ago at school and never a human head so please be kind.

All constructive criticism will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, I have realised that both sculpts are too large for 1/6th but I will continue with them for the practice before starting any others.

My very first attempt

Both are still WIP

One trick to getting the proportions closer is print out the reference photo to the correct size and use dividers to measure from the photo and then transfer to the sculpt.

Great job mate !. :clap
There is a lot of us here currently learning to sculpt , I also could tell who the characters were meant to be instantly and as mentioned that's the most important thing, job well done. Keep at it.

nice start ! the odd thing is , I see the Governor in the Rick sculpt . just keep practicing for countless hours and you will eventually get there .

you have a talent for capturing likeness.

Checking your work in a mirror while you shape out the structure of the face will help with symmetry.
