Its a shame she came into Hammer when the studio was on the decline. Lee and Cushing made Hammer what it was beyond a doubt. But she is probably one of the few things that kept Hammer alive in the 70's.
A lot of film buffs say she was part of Hammer's "soft core porn/eroding era". Where Hammer got away from what really made it great and tried to compete with the exploitation and "cutting edge" pics of the day. Pitt's **ahem** gifts were showcased a bit too much instead of her ability to act because of this. She was very entertaining though---Especially opposite John Pertwee in Amicus's "House that Dripped Blood". Which also had Lee and Cushing. She was good opposite Clint Eastwood in "Where Eagles Dare".
She didnt get to see her self immortalized as a bust before she left us. Lee truly is the last of the Hammer era. I hope he lives as long as he likes. RIP Ingrid Pitt.
