This just made me realize how much better the Warp speed effect was in the new Star Trek movie. :monkey1

No sir, every warp scene minus TMP movie and ST V was awesome(especially STII-III), the scene in that clip of the Bounty(renamed captured bird of prey by the crew) when they are entering warp from Earth's atmosphere, the effect is awesome. Abrams warp effect i thought was too bland.


And WTF? Captain Pike: "is the parking brake on?" riiiiight.

Totally disagree with you. I prefer the gunshot-like effect to the disco lights with the "Whoosh" sounds.
 
it's the tie fighter that can't get into deep space on its own. if the hubble saw one of those then i'd cry foul, but it may have gotten lost or been part of a convoy or something. so i guess it could be feasible.
