How do deposits work on waitlists?

i'm guessing the non refundable deposit does NOT get charged on a waitlist order unless the waitlist converts right?

also how long does it take for the deposit to get charged after a waitlist converts to an order?
i ask because sometimes i'll get an email stating that my waitlist came through and it'll be converting in like 48 hours, BUT often it seems to convert much sooner than that. like next day. just wanna safely make an order lol. info appreciated!

You would not get charged a non-refundable deposit unless the Wait List reservation was converted to an order. It typically takes 24 to 48 hours for a non-refundable deposit to be charged.
