I currently have the deluxe on PO so I figure I have time to make a decision. I asked this weeks ago but never got a response--for people who already have the figure, does the vest scratch up the glossy black armor any? That would be my concern with taking it off, that it would look pretty scratched underneath where the vest had been.

NAW, I wish. Specialist has one helmet version. Deluxe has the scope helmet. Each of the three comes with a unique weapon. And the deluxe has a deluxe stand.

People talking losing interesting in this figure: ok. Best Star wars figure ever, IMO. More for the rest of us. Sure, no Krennic is kinda not cool, but dude was a p**** in the movie

No exclusives to one figure. Specialist receives standard blaster, Deluxe received long range blaster and Regular receives both.

I've taken the ammo vest off three Death Troopers and I haven't scratched their armor. The front harness can be undone just like a 1:6 weapon sling and the back of the harness has a buckle to keep it around his waist.

Think I'm going to purchase the deluxe. I really like the Death Trooper!

Took him long enough to get here, but I finally got my hands on the Specialist!
Excellent figure, can't really recommend it enough. I took the pauldron off, since it just didn't seem to sit very well, and made eveything look a bit too bulky...
I set him up next to Vader and his Stormtroopers, and he fits right in. Great design!

Well...as the next flash flood of figures that we've ordered over the course of a year (or more) is about to show up all at once again, I'm having another look at this cool piece of Imperial Death...

Wanted to pick up the deluxe version too, but it'll have to wait...too many things showing up at once again...something's gotta give. Glad I got this one at least...and I'm still holding out hope that HT will produce a Krennic....in which case, having two of these Death Troopers will make a lot of sense for display....

Does anyone else have any issues with the magnetic holster? I can't get the magnets to come undone, and it looks like the magnets will rip off of the fabric they are attached to before the magnets separate from each other.

Nice one BuGz!

And Hyphessobrycon, funny you mention it because I was about to post that the holster strap on mine is junk. Some months ago the magnet came off the strap when I tried to take it apart. I superglued it back on, but a few days ago the strap started splitting apart, so I'm gonna have to glue that together too. I'll probably end up not really using it.

was just about to order one of these but hesitated due to the shiny plastic and my fear or micro scratches... anyone had any problems?

My death trooper has held up well and doesn't appear to have picked up any scratches. I don't handle the figure too frequently though. I'm not the type to put figures into dynamic poses or take them outside. Mine tend to just sit on the shelf and get re-positioned occasionally.

I already had to glue my holster strap as well. It split into two sections, but I was able to easily repair it with some loctite super glue. Even when examining the holster up close, you can't really tell that it was repaired.

So I'm not the only one with that problem either. I wish they used a better material or something. I'll be doing that repair soon.

But other than that I really do like this figure. There aren't any scratches on the armor on mine as well. It shouldn't be a problem unless it's handled roughly.

Weapons swapped with the Specialist Deluxe and posed for the final scene against Baze. Really hoping to see these guys in future films/content outside of SW: Rebels.

Nice pictures Asian Inferno! I hope we see these guys again as well. I really like their design, along like the Shoretroopers.

Got this outdoor one:
