My regular trooper came today from AE to go with the squad leader. The articulation aggravates me, and the only purpose they're gonna have is to go alongside Phasma.

Yeah its impossible to get a pose or even have him hold the cannon properly. The figure is nice though.

Looking back at the final product photos on HT's Facebook page, quite a few of the heavy gunner just cradling or resting his hand next to the cannon... No wonder~

This. I got my pair from AE. Great looking figures but they are borderline statues. The vinyl/rubber undersuit is awful if you are interested in anything other than museum poses. Really not sure why they did this. I'm sure some brave soul will mod the suit to allow posing but that ain't me.

What a load of crap- the articulation is severely limited. Perfect sign of HT rushing product out and not giving alot of engineerig thought....they needed to put some real articulation in these at least to get the promo poses accomplished..
So look out for the rest of the First order stifftroopers!

i got the "shipping soon" email from SS and had them charge my last flex today. I look forward to receiving this one soon.

So did SS ship these out to you? I tried to get my last flex charged as well, but I was told this set wouldn't be shipping until January.

I had one on my radar, but not if it can't at least achieve some basic trooper-esque poses.

Any details are appreciated.

It's going to be tough to get this into any kind of action poses without some kind of modification. The body suit is really tight and really restricts the movement. Then there is the issue of the rubber gaskets on the joints. More restriction and possible degradation issues if left in extreme poses.

I have the Squad Leader and he is very restricted as far as posability goes, but still is pretty impressive.

After seeing the movie, at least the figures look exactly like the actual costumes when their arms are bent and stuff. I wasn't a fan of the rubber at first, but at least it's accurate.

Has anyone tried swapping the armor to a original Stormtrooper body? Wouldn't be 100% accurate, but at least it would have more flexibility and display options.

They can pose...work with them and warm up their rubber...I know I heard it....but it does work....

Gonna post this in a few different threads instead of creating one. Just for those who want to know....

First Order Hierarchy (I think this is right, gathered from Visual Dictionary plus my assumptions)

-Supreme Leader Snoke
-Kylo Ren
-General Hux, Commander of Starkiller Base
-Stormtrooper Commander Captain Phasma (Captain is a simplistic term not indicative of rank)
-Admirals (Black Armband with Red/Black/White stripes)
-Colonels/Major (Teal/Aqua color Pauldrons/Arm Bands)
-Captains (Red Pauldron, Hot Toys call these "Officers")
-Sergeants (Black Pauldron)
-Squad Leader (White Pauldron)
-Stormtrooper Weapon Specialists (Flametrooper, Riot Control Trooper, Heavy Assault/Gunner Trooper)
-Regular Stormtroopers

Squad Formation
A squad consists of ten troopers. One Squad Leader. One weapon specialists that can include on of the following: Flametrooper, Riot Control Trooper, Heavy Assault Trooper. Eight regular Stormtroopers.

Stayed out of this thread before the movie just in case but picked up one regular trooper before the movie. Happy I canceled the squad leader to just get the regular (got sucked in to the exclusivity on force Friday :slap). Probably don't need any trooper but a regular and even keeping that is a question mark. As others have said the articulation is so limited by the suit. Definitely can't get the figure into that crouched position without fear of ripping the suit at the groin. Feet fall off a lot too while trying to pose in more extreme positions.

I'm pretty sure most of the promo shots can be achieved but given how you're fighting the suit it's not an easy pleasurable experience and would maybe be detrimental to the suit long term.

I wanted to build a similar army like I did with the OT Troopers but the lack of articulation in TFA figs shut that thought down quickly. I bought squad leader and have this set on flex. I don't want to loose cash so I'll keep these and call it a day. Really wish I waited for Jakku and Riot Trooper were different as I like their look but alas a pass.

I already have a brand new Detolf started for this line.

Kylo Ren PF on top of the display
Kylo Ren on the top shelf with Squad Leader Stormie and one basic Trooper (from gunner 2-pack)
Captain Phasma with Heavy Stormtrooper (from 2-pack) and Jakku Stormtrooper
TIE Pilot flanked by Flametrooper and Snowtroopers
1:1 Kylo Ren Helmet

Bring them all on:roll

I just bought this guy off Sideshow. Should be here the 24th. I wanted a regular Stormie, but I'll snag the Captain 2 pack. Now, I wait... Pixelpiper needs to hurry up with those banners, I'll have a small army soon!
