Everyone is into Zombies these days and they have long forgotten this one.

"Night of the living Dead" had the famous "Cemetary Zombie"

We know that "Dawn of the Dead" had the Nurse, the Gun collector, and the Hari Krishna Zombies.

Day of the Dead had "Bub"

Land of the Dead had "Big Daddy"

Hey, Most all of those are figures you can buy!

But most have overlooked this little gem of a movie and this came out no too long after Night of the Living Dead...

But this Living Dead Man scared the hell out of me and a lot other people...

This is what he looks like today...

A nice man who I have the pleasure of knowing and he is even from New Jersey... Yes, he's even my facebook friend...

Re: "Horror 101" Collectibles, Full Size Props, and "The Monsters" themselves!

But this is how he looked back in 72'

His name is Orville Dunworth and when you meet him you'll know that

"Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things"

The mattress would make a nice diorama as he is about to get up...

Hey, Stuntman...

You mentioned meeting Glenn Strange in your first post in this thread.

What did he have to say about working with Abbott and Costello?

I know he worked with them in the Classic "Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" as well as with them on "The Colgate Comedy Hour" and "The Abbott and Costello Show"

Did he have any good stories about the boys?

I have been hoping that Sideshow will put out a two pack of Bud and Lou....

It's a very long story but here goes and I will post pics and videos.

My dad Remo Pisani played the bartender on Bonanza.

Here he is on the set with close friend Jack Lemmon.

and in a movie with Sammy Davis Jr.

Glenn was the bartender on Gunsmoke, they became friends.
I met Glenn as a little boy and remeber sitting on his lap hitting his hand like Costello did.
He was a very nice man and a very big man from what I remember.
He sent me an autographed picture which I lost years ago and wish I had.
He also knew my uncle Keefe Brasselle.
My uncle Keefe Brasselle was on the same show with Abbot,Costello, Glenn Strange, and Ben Chapman.
My unlce Keefe comes on stage at 7:55 into the clip,he is the one on the right.

He was very well known back then as he got the starring role in the "Eddie Cantor story"

here's the vid...

Glenn also had a few of my Mom and aunts albums.
They were known as the " 5 Demarco Sisters"
Here they are on "What's My Line"

My Mom is sitting right next to the host.

They toured the country with "Martin and Lewis" and opened for Frank Sinatra countless times...

Glenn is responsible for me getting into Universal Monsters but...

It was my Uncle Murray Hamilton that got me into Sci Fi and horror.

Here he is in the 2nd episode of the "Twilight Zone playing Mr. Death.
The show was called "One for the Angels"

images-1.jpg

Then he gets killed by David Vincent in "The Invaders"

uncleMurray-1.jpg

The he gets the role of "Mr. Robinson" in "The Graduate"

Then Spielberg himself casts him as the mayor in "Jaws"

Here he is as the Monsignor in the classic "The Amityville Horror"

They are all in heaven now but I will always be proud of them and what they left...

Thanks for your interest Taz!

The 2 things I really liked about the abbott and costello scene was this.

Did you see how perfectly "Frankenstein" Glenn Strange fell backwards into that crate.

He was right on his mark and if he was off by just a little he could have been really hurt.

"And keep in mind this was live TV back then"

Glenn was a great stuntman in his time and could ride a horse fantastic.

The second thing is that this was Ben Chapman's first appearance as the Creature even before the movie came out.

Universal was doing some serious promotion back then.

Bud Westmore was a genius and soon I will share some pics and stories of what it was like to work with his nephew for 6 years, Michael Westmore. Have a great night my friend...Steve

Re: "Horror 101" Collectibles, Full Size Props, and "The Monsters" themselves!

I ask about Abbott and Costello...

and I get that...

Re: "Horror 101" Collectibles, Full Size Props, and "The Monsters" themselves!

Yes, I am quite informative and have some very rare outakes of A/C meet frankenstein transferred from 16mm film. or maybe it's 35mm, not sure.

Hey, this one is for the Star Trek dude who asked if I had any rare pics of Spock.

I have many but for legal reasons can only share a few...
