Cool stuff!

Hey guys, sorry to revive an old thread like this, but can anyone help me here, can any of you who have the Samaritan prop replica tell me the differences between the Sideshow Samaritan prop gun from the first movie and the one from the second movie? There's a guy who's offering me the gun, but I'm afraid that he might switched the gun itself from the first one (instead of the Samaritan from Hellboy II) and only the base is from the second one..
Thanks in advance!

The first Samaritan was polystone and the second release was made of metal.

Thank you for the reply.. so basically, the first one is not heavy at all? because I think the second one's not fully metal, correct?

the handle on the second one is not wood but yes I believe the second one is considerably heavier.

Oh the first one's wood? I can't compare the weight since I don't have the first one, but this one seems heavy enough to be metal. I checked on several areas, bump it with a spoon, but it doesn't make a clink sound. But the handle doesn't seems to be made of real wood though.

Thanks for the reply, btw! :)

I don't know if the first one is wood (I wouldn't think it would be). Just mentioning. I have the 2nd but never seen or held the first one in person. All I've heard is that it's relatively light while the 2nd one is decently heavy (one's poly one's metal). It's a light weight metal though, nowhere near what the gun would be if it was real gunmetal or steel.

edit: it's probably hollow too, I'd be surprised if it's more than 10lb).
2nd edit: not sure if this is on the original but might not be as it's polystone, but the barrel on the #2 is not filled in, so you can see the bullet in the chamber (but it's dark).

If nobody answers in the next day or two, I will look at the extras I have stored at my parent's house. It came with a small packet of ~8 extra batteries when I purchased direct from sideshow.
