A great day, indeed. I have so much gratitude to all of those who have sacrificed and served in the Marine Corps.

I am proud to be born on this day, Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the US.

Yes it's actually a important day in many countries, not because it's the Marines bday but it was the unofficial end of WWI.
 
November 10, 1775, first Marines recruitment drive, Tun Tavern, Philadelphia, PA.

November 11, 1918, 11:00am, armistice signed ending hostilities on the western front, Compiegne, France.
 
My dad, rest his soul, also had his birthday on the 11th. Proud to have both great-grandfathers survive the Great War, Belgian man on dad's side and British man on mom's side.
