re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Finished up ROTK today to finish up another LOTR marathon. I love those freaking movies. For they're easily the three best movies I've ever seen. How much you guys love the OT and what those films mean to y'all that's what these films mean to me. :rock

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Which versions? My favorite way to watch them is FOTR and TTT theatrical, then ROTK extended.

Fellowship of the Ring, as it was shown in theaters, is one of the few almost perfect movies. Kill Bill vol.1 is the first other one that occurs to me as being that eloquently, articulately filmed.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

The EE of all of them. Those are the definitive versions for me. FOTR is one of the few films I would even consider giving a 10/10 to.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Fellowship has always been my very favorite of the three films.

It's mine as well. Don't get me wrong I really love the other two and they're off the charts good but FOTR is just the top.

INCOMING FINDINGS REPORT..

For anyone that is looking to add or start a possible man cave, or wants to add a final touch to their Star Wars display, I would suggest stopping by your local Hobby Lobby.

They have metal signs with the classic Marvel Star Wars Comic covers, as well as some really nice screen printed movie stills from the movies that are framed.
Of course, Hobby Lobby has a weekend sale going on, with all metal and wood signs being 50% off. So the metal signs are $9.00, the Large Framed picture is $35, and the medium sized wood art is $12.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Those signs are cool. I wonder if they have all the covers that represent the ESB adaptation.

Sorry. Absolutely cannot support Hobby Lobby.

For me it's up there with the OT.

For me it TTT, FoTR, and then RoTK.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I know Hobby Lobby has some ****ed agendas and beliefs, but that's all goes away after I leave the store. Of course with a bunch if coupons I don't feel so bad shopping there after a $100 check out becomes $23.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It's a great trilogy.

Interesting. I don't see TTT as someone's fave too often. Can't go wrong with any of them.
I watched all of them in theatres. I will say Helms Deep was my favorite scene. As a kid watching that I was never more nervous for a group of characters. How could they win a battle so outnumbered!
Keep in mind I was probably 12ish and hadnt read the books. Thought they we're all dead.

FOTR is my fav though.

I don't have a Hobby Lobby but hopefully AC Moore or Michaels will have them. Thanks!

As for LOTR, I can honesty say that I've never seen ROTK all the way through. They are all masterpieces though. My favorite would be Fellowship. I'll never forget seeing it for the first time. My buddy managed a movie theatre and they held screenings on Wed nights. I smoked some good stuff right before the film and got so freaked out at Gandalf's arrival and how they did the height differences. I don't think I blinked the whole rest of the movie. :lol

Helm's Deep is a pretty awesome sequence. The stuff they went through to film is is pretty interesting.
