It's hard to say.
I've been a fan of King for a long time.
My mother read the book Night Shift to me,my twin brother and our best friend. The story that stood out to all 3 of us was Battleground. It's about a hit-man who gets a toy footlocker sent to him and all hell breaks loose. Ever since then I was hooked.
I'd have to say The Dark Half was one of my favorites or Insomnia.
