Hey,
lack of room can be annoying and as I just needed more to build some things I decided to re-assort some things and to swap a detolf with something wallmounted. Didn't find anything suitable so I decided to go the custom way. Actually built this some weeks back but I thought I'd share it here as a quick tutorial.
Made a sketch first with all the specs for four separations and used white veneered baords for furniture construction (19mm).
Started to mount the inner and outer walls on the ground board, then mounted the top.
Had to make some corrections with white acrylic varnish as some cuts got a little rough:
The inner walls are a little offset behind compared to the outer walls to have the rails for acrylic doors framed.
Used white double plastic rails you get for terraria construction, also integrated an smd strip with 120 smd / meter:
Really like indirect lighting and try to avoid directly visible smd spots whenever it's possible,
so I made bars to hide the smd strip behind and to reflect the light back:
Mounted angles and back covers:
And here's the final result after installing the acrylic doors (before removing the protective film).
They're overlapped infront of the inner walls so that less dust can find it's way inside:
First inhabitants saying hello:
Will post some more in my collection thread once I find the time.
Hope you like it!
