Did Sideshow use real leather on older Star Wars figures?

I was thinking back on lots of the older figures I used to own from Sideshow. In particular the Star Wars ones. I no longer own any, but can someone confirm that the Sideshow Han Solo, Luke Bespin , Obi Wan etc., that the belts were made of real leather? I seem to recall putting the blaster in the Bespin Luke holster and putting it in water so the blaster would mold around it for a better fit, no way that would happen with pleather.
