Custom Stands

I see a bunch of custom figures with their own stands (with labels/graphics). I am still quite new to customizing and all and was hoping to get some info on what the best way is to create a custom stand (the stands I am using are the standard black stands that come with truetype bodies).

just buy a loose stand on ebay from a hot toys figure and have evil face make you a decal

Nah, get one from Toy Anxiety. They'd be cheper and get to you must faster than an ebay seller, which are typically in Asia.
