Completed Jakku Base - Steelpecker

Completed my Base just in time for Rey and BB8 to be shipped this week.

I made my own Steelpecker as seen briefly during the Rey introduction scene.

Any tutorials on how to make something like this? Looks perfectly sized too.

Does any of the sand get anywhere? I'd love a ach-to one for Rey and Luke

Nebcast the Base is made of mdf wood. I used plastic strips to surround the edging of the Base. I then poured pva glue in the Base and poured play sand into the pva. Allow the sand to absorb into the glue. This will set hard but leave a few loose sand on top.

The rest of the items were sculpted in oilclay then painted up.

Looks awesome. If you do this again, I would love if you made a photo or video guide step by step. I'd love to try it but I'm not very good with crafts or anything.
