Seems we have conflicting info. The guy who posted a review of the pics said it's painted. Maybe he's just mistaken since SSC is telling us it's a decal.

I suppose if the decal looks that good to where it looks like it's painted, then that can't be entirely a bad thing. I guess we'll know more once others start getting theirs in-hand.

Yea i agree. I have no problem with it as long as it looks good. A high end decal can be very nice.

The way I remember it was;

Classic shield: decal
Round shield: painted

They keep some WL open for returns / cancellations

Same thing happened for the Batman PF. U might still snag a Cap EX a couple weeks after they ship but with an ES of half of Batman it may be less probable.

I think a lot of orders for the EX were placed during and after the release of the film Winter Soldier which spiked a lot of popularity for Cap related merchandise
