I kinda like Tom's idea:

Regular version = Shiny
SS Exclusive version = Dirty

But that would mean that SSC would have to make 2 versions of C-3PO, and I'm against respawning characters in an other version BEFORE we've had enough fresh characters, (yes, even before Boba Fett!). I know SSC has already done so by giving us an Anakin, and a Anakin Sith apprentice, but that was SDCC related, and therefore it doesn't count.

Tatooine dirty for me.

IMO, the shiny version is overrated. Too many companies have done the shiny version.

I've a good way to settle this-- make the PF w/Artoo Shiny, freshly minted. Make the 12" version dirty and make him disassemble for the netting that'll be hauled by Chewie.
