That's exactly how I feel. I don't quite understand why this is anymore egregious than bronzing the Hulk (which I think looking phenomenal BTW.) I think more times than not, Bowen pulls it off.

It's very simple.

Surfer's image is intimately tied to his color. The Hulk, on the other hand, has been Red, Green, and Grey. Hulk's look is more tied to his physique than his color. Additionally, the FB Hulk allowed some of those colors to show through and is what made him, along with Cap and Thor the best FBs made by Bowen. Surfer is just one color and when Faux Bronzed looks like the statue get for getting third place at the Academy Awards.

I think what people like about this is the sculpt, which is awesome. Stacked up against the chrome and the painted versions, this one pales in comparison. Throw in PF prices and you can see why some are scratching their heads about the excitement.
