Black Widow and her boots.....

Hi fellow freaks.

I have a couple of questions about Black Widow.

Are her boots pegged - at the ankle? (specifically Iron Man 2 or Winter Soldier)
How flexible at the ankle are the winter soldier boots.

Has anybody got any experience with repainting costume/boots etc? Would you think that the Iron Man 2 boots would take colour? could be painted black?)

Reasons for asking. I'm looking for some good boots for a Mara Jade kit bash...ankle flexibility would be awesome. black colour is desired, but painting is an option if the manufacture material will take it.

Planned body would be a phicen with ankle pegs.

I have the Winter Soldier version and they are indeed "beets" (Boot-feet). No ankle articulation, unfortunately!

The IM2 BW boots are the most flexible, soles made of hard plastic and the rest is soft rubber. They also use pegs.

Winter soldier BW is boots with pegs. No feet required.
