Ar drone office flight

I brought my Ar drone to the office.
Normaly this little buggger is controlled with a iPhone or in my case an Android.

But this time i used a laptop and a joystick, what a difference, the controls are insane.

In the vid my colleague tries out the drone, he's good at it while navigatign on screen, but when he looks up and tries to navigate with mark one eyeball he loses orientation (The axis are swapped) and crashes

Starting to get the hang of this guys. Flown up to 30 meters with trees all around me and then back again, landed on a 60x60 cm surface

Yepp it's goign to turn on me while asleep

It has some nice AI piloting skills actually, if i get into a tricky sitution with wind or turbolance its just a matter of releasing the controls and the autopilot starts hovering.

Took the drone out for a stroll today in the local park near my apartment.. Was a challange to dodge people and trees, and dogs and kids that came up to it... One dog really tried to attack it, but after I charged it full speed it got a bit afraid.. haha
