Anybody seen the Robotech Sagas?

I've just finished watching the Macross saga and have just got the New Generation saga.

Am I able to watch the new generation saga before the Robotech Masters saga or should I track that one down first and watch them in order?

If you've never seen them before then you'll want to watch Macross, then Robotech Masters/Southern Cross, then New Generation.

It all sucked after Macross. New Generations was okay but man I hated the Sentinels.

I loved Macross and New Generation. I really didn't dig Southern Cross, but that one is my wifes favorite. Continuity wise you could skip Southern Cross and not be lost. Originally the three series had nothing to do with each other anyways.
