Hi All, new to the forum, thought i would introduce myself with some pictures of my personal collection
As you can see, big fan of DBZ, Berserk and the odd nendoroid
Awesome stuff love those berserk pieces.
I never quite understood why guys like to collect girly cartoon characters & statues, but those Art Of War Berserks statues are masterpieces.
btw when i mention girly i meant those newer cartoons meant for girls like K-On etc, u kno statues with small girl proportion like the 2 pictures below the Berserk & the one next to Goku, instead of like Shunya Yamashita etc with more realistic/neutral look.

You do realize those series aren't actually targeting females right? Series like K-On and Lucky Star are targeting males. I imagine most anime figure collectors are not insecure about their sexuality so they aren't afraid to collect statues of females (that don't look like prostitutes like your typical female Western statue) because of some pointless social stigmatism
Yeah personally I just buy and collect whatever I like.
Sorry for my ignorant, because i didn't watch the show, just looking at the character design & story theme, which makes me think that the show is designed for young female audiences, and the fact that the characters aren't designed to be sexy, have the proportion of cartoon kids, and looks just like designs to gain popularity among the female audiences doesn't help me & some folks.
And I agree about people collecting things they like, but was hoping some insight to this just to clear of my curiosity, because it feels abit like HT Wolverine/Black Widow vs Barbie & Kent doll. Despite being in the same 1/6 category, they have different market.
