Well...I can't quite put my finger on it...but I just don't like the look of the head. Is it the hair? Is it the facial expression? The narrow head? The costuming looks great, but lacks significant weathering. For the price tag...well...we'll see...I'm anxiously waiting to see Asmus' final sculpt and announcement.

Maybe the likeness is only 99%, but man, that looks like a real person standing there. This will be my first LOTR figure. I was really hoping to stay completely away from LOTR because there are so many characters. Probably need to have the core, and this is a great start.

yes, several people on the facebook just asking me if he's "real' person! you are not the only one!

Maybe the likeness is only 99%, but man, that looks like a real person standing there. This will be my first LOTR figure. I was really hoping to stay completely away from LOTR because there are so many characters. Probably need to have the core, and this is a great start.

Can't blame you there. I found 250 a little steep for a non dx figure though. Even if Its covered in hair and larger than a normal figure. Haha I'll probably wind up getting it though.

HT Star Wars is going to take a huge toll on a lot of "wants" around here. Not sure ACI can continue with its price level unless it really is only doing a couple figures.

Maybe I'll buy this one after I see the final production result. But with Hot Toys I'm familiar. The prototype of Aragorn does look good though! I'm pretty sold on the hair.

Yeah I agree. I actually am thinking about the sideshow hoth han solo with chewie. I'm not a big fan of the hot toys Han solo personally. I don't think the head sculpt looks that great. And frankly, I really like the the sideshow Han solo coming out in December.

Great headsculpt, but it needs sculpted hair. That rooted hair is just too thick and all over the place.

Good move -- try a new section.

Looks like the same sculpt though judging by the mouth and brow creases. I think it depends on where the iris is painted.

Like I said now that ACI is posting in the general section, sculpt looks the same judging by the lips and forehead creases. But it really depends on where they paint the iris.
