Hello, guys.

Not long ago I purchased an IKEA Detolf for my Hot Toys collection. It looks incredible. However, it's missing the lighting. If I may ask, what would be the best and most proper lighting for the Detolf? I'm looking for one that is small and is cool in temperature and does not overheat? Help, anyone. Thanks!

Get LED lighting.
Those are the best ones to use for collectibles because it doesn't fade the paint. Also, LED's emit no heat.

I want cordless LEDs. :(

Not sure why they havent thought of that yet. They have remote controlled versions of those Ikea lights but not cordless....

Heck Im sure there's a few guys on this board that could figure something like that out, no problem...

go for the ikea LEDs and its easy to install heres couple of my detolf

Not want to hijack this thread just wanna ask a quick question. Is it easy to assemble and disassemble a detolf in case of moving?

Very easy. After the first time you don't even need instructions anymore. Took me about 10 minutes to assemble my 3rd one.

It's fairly easy to assemble them, moving them is something different. They are pretty sturdy once built so I would (and have) leave them standing secured safely in a moving truck. Just make sure to take out the shelves.

Why it this thread in the aliens/robots thread?

I think it would be nice to have this thread where it could be discussed by all collectors.

I'll be getting my first detolf soon and I will be thinking a lot about this question.
