Sadly, the actual piece when I got it was a big let down, especially in the paintwork.

100 bucks with custom paint work to boot. Honestly the only people I can see bidding on this are completists.

The two Aragorn statues that I want the most are Aragorn PF EX, and Aragorn as Strider EX

For $100 that repaint would be worth getting and then having someone else fix it.

I would have thought anyone painting a statue would make its value go down. People want the original item.

For me, the blood spatters on the hands needed re-doing too. They're just globs of paint on each knuckle, like a 3 year old did it.

Depends on the painter and that person's credentials. A custom pro paint job adds a lot of (admittedly quite subjective) value.
