This was what I used a reference mate.... Obviously it was just a publicity still, but that must have been where Hasbro got the flap with the little sheet of paper that's on the left sleave.
I'm gonna have to work on mine now... It needs a ton of work!

I have a nasty tendency to piss all over people's joy at their accomplishments if they're not perfect, and it upsets quite a few people (as most already know) and I honestly can't find anything wrong with it...
Well, other than the fact that there's no wings...
But the part of it you did make is absolutely stunning. I would have called it done several iterations ago, you just keep going and going, it's not just 100% now it's getting up to around 150% awesome, and rising!

Unfortunately, I made brownies too. Not the smell-good kind though.

Eh, if they were done now, I'm sure they'd be all CG with no famous people. It might even be targeted at younger audiences. Lucas really doesn't care about his creation anymore, his vision has been brought to life on screen, and now, 33 years later, all that's left to do is suck more money out of it. Just be careful what you wish for!
Although if Lucas had continued to make them before he did the prequels, then that would've been awesome. But I think it's too late now. Pretty soon, George Lucas won't even remember his own name, he's starting to get old now. He's already executed order 66, going on order 67. He probably won't live more than 15, 20 more years.

Who cares if the boots are long/short enough? We're all staring at your shiny (but now, weathered and not as shiny) amazing X-Wing!
Who knows, maybe the costume department misplaced his boots between shots, and in some they're slightly longer and in others they're slightly shorter...
And the dancing kittens are most certainly enough! But if lordscum still wants more...

So Dorgs, when will you build a Y-Wing and make the entire hangar scene in 1/6?
Perhaps you can use it as practice for when you build the Death Star. How much do you think the moon will cost? You'll probably need to build it piece by piece, and then take chunks out of the moon and replace them with the Death Star pieces...

X-Wing pilots wear the same boots as the Rebel fleet trooper. You need to replicate these:
Marmit TIE Pilots wear the same boots as well. They have a side flap and a small buckle on the sides. The only time you can REALLY see them in the movie is when Luke is walking to Han in the Rebel hangar just before he takes off, in a wide shot.
In some pics the orange flight suit is folded over the edge of the boot, making them look off. Just look at the screen caps and you'll see.
