Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Amazing, I had to catch up on a few pages and the transformation is awesome. Super talented fella!

Fantastic project, really brilliant work.

:horror :horror :horror

HOLY... erm.. HOLY... holy, umm...

Well, there isn't a word to exclaim that could suffice to describe the sheer awesomeness and impressivity of that fantastic X-Wing!

I thought I was cool when I made my crappy little light up helmet, and Dorgs, you freakin' made a light up console! How many lights does that sucker have? :panic:

It's huge, it's brilliant, and it made me make a terrible mess over here.

Incredible work Dorgs, I tried looking through the last 30 pages, but I just couldn't take it anymore and skipped the last 5 to post this message.

And what's with the stormy armor? Where'd you get that from? Or, did you make it in your spare time? :lol I wouldn't be surprised....

I can't believe I missed so much is less than a month.

I bow to you, Lord Dorgmal! :bow :bow :bow

:thud:

I'm off to clean up my mess now. :monkey3

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I will join the chorus of people who sing your praises. It's a VERY ambitious project and you're pulling it off. You rock big time.:clap

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I really appreciate the comments guys, every single one drives the project on... But it is the Weekend and not a lot done but hey I realise its good to take a break.

Just had a few moments so slapped some paint on the seat. I am not gonna go mad on the seat (boy do I want to) as I know I could spend a day painting it and most of it you will not see.

Next week I hope to finish all the spraying and re-spray a couple of bits as I dont like em.

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I think everyone respects good paint detail. Don't apologize for wanting to make something kick ass. The seat is looking great. Perhaps a few markings in light grey or white aurebesh lettering? Hardware always has little "no step" and "not a handle" advisories.

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Yeah I know what you mean. But I am looking at the seat now and thinking it looks a little plan. I need to do a bit of cleaning up but I am tempted to spray the whole thing black and dry brush it. I found some decals in a box and they help.. but still does not flow. :( I am thinking the tube on the side should be a dark gloss green and may be some more details under it! I like the belt though :)

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Mark im sure you'll be popping back and adding this and that even when you think your finished, i know i do :)

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Yeah I am sure you are right mate I should move on, plenty to do!!

But do you think it needs a joystick... would be cool with one of those red buttons on top for the torpedos!!!

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Yeah if u want it do it as all the fabrication should be done now, then u can drybrush etc and add decals over time when your happy with the paintjob.

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

OK Mark here's what you need to do. Stop and add the back of the ship!:horror

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Something occured to me. I imagine that handle is for ejecting. As a safety measure ejection seats have two handles, and both must be pulled for the seat to punch out. The thinking is it might be possible to accidentally pull one handle, but two handles would be deliberate.

You might add some caution yellow paint here and there.

OK Mark here's what you need to do. Stop and add the back of the ship!:horror

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Yeah the second pull handle should be between the legs I think. and I think what it needs is some chevrons!!!! :)

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I love chevrons!
