Honestly the hat is awful but the sculpt of the head is really nice even if it needs a better paint job.
Worldbox body fit perfectly but don't choose the muscular one !

Personally, I use the MJ Choi hat ! It is too small for the original sculpt but good for the Sideshow recast.

Does anyone have “in hand” the smart-man-toys normal version of Indy? I know it’s a recast of the SS TOD Indy without the battle damage and I’ve read where people say it’s a bit smaller then the original, but I’m interested in knowing the quality of the head/paint/and the Hat as well.

And if you happen to have one would a Worldbox body be a good fit for it??

Just got it in yesterday. For what it is it's pretty good. Slightly smaller as you said, but it gives me a better Last crusade Indy than my previous version. Here he is with the hot toys hat.

I also got an unpainted version of it. I either may try my hand at painting it up or find someone with superior skills who could do a good last crusade job on it.

Got mine today. Smaller as stated but looks good. Better in person that the ebay pics. Have my heroheads hat on it. Looks pretty good but will need to be modded.

You need a black tie for that LC Indy ! Check toyanixiety's loose parts from the BC studios Goldfinger figures... both villains had black ties that would work.

Thanks! I just jumped on that on your recommendation. You know it's crazy how your mind's eye works. I could have sworn that Indy's tie was brown and I found the perfect one in a commissioner Gordon outfit set from a few years ago. I can't wait to update him now.

BTW, I just found these pics and they seem to be quite good references.

Nice upgrade. I didn't expect that head would match so good for TLC !!!
An the kato jacket is just perfect for this one.

I hope no one minds if I post these images? I was looking through old photos on my PC and came across these from 2006. This was the first Indiana Jones custom I attempted, it's a mix of Dragonparts, Relic Hunter figure parts and a custom head that I bought online. Amazing how far we have come with our custom figures since then and how many more parts are available now to create the perfect Indy. I was so proud of this back then. I wound up selling it years ago.

Thanks , yes it an old sideshow buck body.

I am kind of new around here. Where did you purchase that head sculpt? I looked around on in Dark Web and could not locate it.

Got it off eBay. It's the "smart-man-toys normal version". I like it alot, but a word of caution. I was futzing it yesterday and some of the paint came off the chin. Nothing crazy, but because I'm so **** it bothered me. I was able to fix it some though. I did order another one that I'm gonna be more careful with.

Good to hear. On the whole I think you'll be quite happy with the head. If you don't mind me asking, which brand and type of flesh tone paints did you get? I'd love to pick them up as well.

Testers makes three different skin tones that work real well. I picked them up at my local Hobby Shop but I am sure you can purchase them on Amazon. They usually run about $3.95 each
