I just lucked out this week and bought 4 of them off of ebay for 3 bucks a piece... great scale web belts...

I know you mentioned the belt needs a color change to be accurate to Raiders. . . any notes on the process?? Is there a dye to use??

What did you use for extenders?

It is easier than it looks.

Only I had to remove the double ball join with feet of the slim truetype and add the pivot-shoe group of Henry, cutting a little the extreme of it and attached to the end separate base join of the truetype with glue

nice work on that Grail Restaurajones ! I'd like to see a close up of that !

I promise you a pic of it

Only I have gilded it but now would be perfect to add dusty to the outside

Looks like most everyone here favors the TT body. Where is the best place to pick up one of these other than Ebay? Another question...are the TT bodies the same size as the Prom. type that SS uses. I have noticed that the (SSC-Prometh.) are just a tad taller than most GI Joe or similar figures. Thanks for any info that you can share.

I picked up a few TT bodies at monkeydepot.com, the narrow shoulder version. The TT bodies are noticeably bigger than the Pro bodies. I did the swap on mine and Indy's arms a a bit too long for the shirt and jacket. Pants still fit fine though.

As you can see. . .the Pro body is about 3/4" shorter than the TT. Makes me laugh when people make fun of Medicom's RAH figures and their "1:6 scale". The Pro body can't be that much taller.

Be warned, it's not just a simple swap. The web belt that comes with Indy doesn't fit right once on the TT. You'll have to either poke a new hole in the belt, or just replace it with a different belt altogether.

You'll have to cut a bit off the Pro wrist pegs to get them to fit. You'll have to cut off the plug and two rings off the end to get it to fit. thenammagazine's image should be in this thread, showing exactly where to cut.

You'll need to take the ball joints from the TT feet and put them in the SS boots. Heat up some water in the microwave to remove plugs and put them back in where they need to go. You'll need to do it for the feet and the head. Also, if you warm up the wrist pegs before you cut them, it should be easier.

As you can see, mine's in the beginning stages of a pretty hefty mod. I've changed the belt and removed the buttons. I tried to iron the shirt and put a smaller fold in the collar, which didn't really work, and I ironed the pants too, which took out most of the wrinkles.

Switching the body, is kind of a Pringles problem. Once you pop, you can't stop. There's so much that needs to be changed, once you start, you can't just switch the body and say "Okay, that's good, I'm done." I'm not even an Indy expert, but the outfit just doesn't fit right anymore once you switch to a TT, so I felt obligated to switch out some parts.

Could someone who has replaced the buttons on Indy's shirt, tell me what the source shirt was.

I've searched through numerous sites for a khaki shirt and they all seem to have brown or dark colored buttons. The only clues I have are DML/Dragon, US WWII khaki shirt. . . I just can't seem to find light colored buttons.

Go here : https://www.toysoldierbrigade.com/

then on the left side click "Allied Uniforms"... then "shirts".. scroll through there... the " US Wool shirt Frank Jackson" and "MP shirt Wiley/Clayton" ( both by Dragon) have khaki buttons.. the US wool service shirt below those has the darker khaki buttons like Indy had in TOD and LC

Thanks, I was a bit confused. I was looking for a khaki shirt with white buttons. I was watching Raiders last night, and it looked like the buttons were the same color as the shirt. I get it now though, as I remember that the SS shirt is lighter than it it should be. If the shirt gets changed, the buttons will look correct.

Here is my 1/6 Sideshow Indy with revised Sovereign Studio jacket. Thanks to Shawn for taking the time to do the revision, the final product is well worth the wait:
