Looks like you changed the bag too. Care to give some details on that one??

Indy is on a Soldier Story body. With a little bit of masking tape on the ball his neck post, his head fit perfect. Indy's head was repainted by Rismo. I purchased the jacket, shirt, gun belt, holster, sidebag and whip many years ago from Shawn at Sovereign Studios. The pants are from the standard Sideshow Indy. They look better after I ironed them. The boots are Medicom.

For transplanting to Soldier Story bodies from the Pro, unscrew the 4 screws in the back. Remove the SS ball-joint. Break open the Pro neck and remove the Pro ball-joint. Dremel the back of the SS neck so the Pro ball-joint will fit. Snap the chest piece back on and tighten the screws down in the back. Perfect fit. As for the boots, heat up the Sideshow boots with a blowdryer and pull the connectors out with needlenose plyers. take the Soldier Story feet connectors and push them down into the Sideshow boots. Voila. Perfect transplant.

The Soldier Story body is my favorite body now. About half as much as Hot Toys True Type and much much tighter. If Sideshow had developed the Pro like this it would justify their inflated prices.

awesome tip there kl241... I need to try this for transplanting over to the SS body.. ( also my favorite).. I didn't know about cracking them open though...

Its really easy. Score the seam with an exacto blade then pry it open with needlenose pliers. The Pro neck connector fits perfectly inside the SS neck if you dremel down the U-shaped plastic along the back of the neck.

Now that people will start getting their 1/6 KOTCS Indy's, I since I have have had time to compare to stills from the film, thought that maybe someone might be interested in this. This head sculpt is almost 1/5th scale (compare the ROTLA Sideshow heads when yours arrives). I took an Ace Dan body and lengthened the torso by 1 1/2 cm, arms by 1 cm, and the legs by 1 1/4 cm. Now, it is starting to look scale to the head:

A couple of height comparison pics; as specified above altered KOTCS, altered Hot Toys Narrow Shoulders with 1 1/2 cm added to the torso Last Crusade Indy, and regular Sideshow ROLTA:

WOW! I have seen these before but I can't get over how great these look.

My hope is that everyone who wants to change their Indy's can. Most hobby shops have molding puddy, and I have already gone through the trial and error part, expanding the torso area is the easiest way to make your Indy look better:

Cool idea with the chart, I did something similar myself when I was putting a body together fo My Indy. ( I just enlarged the same photo you have and printed it out to scale.) It will certainly help those Guys out who are thinking of upgrading theirs.

Thanks for the comparison pic, faststreets. Your altered Indy does look great. I can't believe how stumpy dumpy the Sideshow untouched Indy looks!

Yeah, the stock Raiders Indy can look pretty bad, especially if the pants are hiked up.

You can work with him on the original pro body to make him look better though.

does anyone know if the hat is removable on the Indiana Jones Kingdom of the Crystal Skull? this is the Indy Jones with the refrigerator.

God, this really makes the ones on the Pro look like a cheap doll. Seriously. Unbelievable how much more realistically proportioned they are now.

These are pretty much final versions, thought that it might be cool to see them side by side:
