Sadly not though I'm tempted to pick up a rocco sculpt too I bought a smock for £3.50 well 2 of them ha.

Impressions are in! Fantastic piece deluxe all the way for the sheer amount more you get with it.

The paintings are sculpted with oil like texture, the easel is a pain it doesn't stand well before it collapses. Amazing piece though.

No, not by any shot are these recasts. I owned his beethoven so not even close to recast. Also given the box I think this is partnered with Van gogh museum.

It looks like they copied his. The stylized sculpt and paint are reminiscence but not recast.

Yeah, I agree. I've been trying to find more pictures (which are pretty hard to find), and it does look like they're different, It's strange they've gone to such great lengths to mimic what Serang already did, even down to the same accessories on the Van Gogh set. Though I guess you could argue there's only so many accessories a Van Gogh figure could, or should, include.

As an aside, it's unfortunate that history is losing track of these old customs. I remember Serang being a pretty prolific custom figure maker back in the day, but pictures of all those old works seem to be disappearing into the ether. It seems like Serang was posting images mostly on One Sixth Warriors, but all the images are gone from his posts.

I really enjoyed owning serangs work when I did but left such a bad taste knowing he did what he did.

I really loved his beethoven and Hendrix both of which I have. Still have his van gogh sculpt in a box somewhere.

The easel I don't think is copy of his as I don't remember seeing it like that. I really dig this set minus the shirt looking silly/undersized sculpt.

I do still wish serang was around creating work but sadly I don't think we'll see that.

It's good to see that there are alternative sets for almost every one of that scammer's customs now - Winston Churchill, Captain Miller, Jimi Hendrix etc.
