Another video...this one has some nice natural lighting, a good look at the base, head sculpts and the cape slots in the body. I can already tell I'm going to reinforce those cape tabs with a couple of tie-wrap sticky pads, wrapped with a small tie wrap, to increase the surface area of the cloth that slides into those slots. Also a decent size comparison of the AK Batman too. Bruce is a hefty dude but Clark is a big-ass corn fed farm boy. :wink1::lol

I was referring to Hush. Paging through those issues, Superman looks distinctly younger than the portraits on this statue.

most likely because Prime 1 didn't actually use Hush Superman alone for this Statue. This is from Superman #204 when JL was drawing his Superman for Tomorrow stuff.

Got mine yesterday from SS. Glad to report no issues. This is my first 1/3 statue and I was shocked by how large the shipping boxes were. I had the statue delivered to my parents house since I'm not home to sign for packages during the day. I was mistaken when I thought I'd be able to fit the boxes in my car. I ended up unboxing it to transport the statue home. I think I better change the address before Batman is ready to ship. I'll just take the day off work.

The fabric version is arriving early according to SS.I chose to process now,and have it shipped next week.I'm really looking forward to finally getting this.

The wait list is still open. I jumped on it. Let's see what happens.

My final payment is next week direct from P1, and I have the expedited shipping selected. Hopefully all these SS notices means P1 has one in stock to ship to me & I hope to have my fabric cape version in hand soon!

Superman Fabric Cape Edition has arrived.. I always do first photos outdoors. But it was far too windy to attempt with the Cape. The Cape would have only assisted in Blowing the entire statue over.

All in all a Monster and a Beautiful Superman Statue.Really Stunning in person.A very Big and very Heavy 1/3 scale.

I do have a couple of complaints:I can only compare the Cape to the Prime 1 Batman AK Statue which is beyond perfect.Material wise and Pose-ability wise. You can pose the Batman cape differently every Day if you like. And you do not have to remove the Cape if you want to change Head Sculpts. You would have thought P1 would have gone the same way here, but NOT.
This Cape is just a 3 wire outline and the material is half as nice as the AK Batmans.Very difficult to work with.Beside the fact just getting it into the slots is a task and you can really only work it while it's on the statue.Along with the HS you want to use.
It's Ok for the sculpted cape owners to :lol just a little.

The other thing is minor:but Supermans Fists could have had more detail on the parts inside the Thumb and Finger areas. No big deal and it's most likely because the entire Body is one Heavy Piece. And actually a little scary once slotted into place. You will know what I mean when you assemble him.

Have Fun and congrats to all who PO him.

I received mine today as well and had the same complaints regarding the paint detail in the fists and the finicky cape insertion tabs. I may take a brush to those fists.

Overall though it is a stunning piece.

So one of the problems I had is that Sup looks like he has a medical issue - how bad is it in person

I know exactly what you mean, he's really not photogenic, but I've had the guy for about a month and think the headsculpts look way better in person (not perfect, definitely not like the pics on Prime 1's site, but still, pretty close). The fabric cape however is a let down. Really not happy with it. It has probably put me off buying another 1/3 scale with a fabric cape ever again...

I prefer fabric capes on bigger statues but i am not a fan of wired capes which is why i went ahead with the sculpted version of this.

Fabric cape Superman says waitlist open but if you click on him it says pre order. If anyone is looking. Think it was waitlist full before.

Superman arrived yesterday direct from P1 in China using their standard shipping option ---DHL Express-- 5 days after getting the email notification. Shipping costs were $395 to the Maryland\DC area for 2 huge boxes. No additional charges were accrued. Everything arrived safe and sound, zero damage to report, nice clean paint apps, everything is perfect. No problems spinning the base 360 degrees. It's a fantastic statue that is a statement piece in every way and between the sheer size and the striking primary colors it just dominates the room. Regarding the cape clips, I found on mine that the wires were too close to the clips & kept contributing to a loose fit, so I shoved the wires down the hem so the wires sit flush on the bottom of the cape. That put the wires about 1/2 to 3/4 inch away from the slots and now the cape clips sit in there more snug...the wires aren't constantly pulling them back up. I also found the wire in the bottom of the cape to be a PITA to try & get a good simple drape so I removed it. The problem is that the wire is very stiff (like coat hanger stiff) and it likes to spin & twist after you adjust it so it never stays in the right place....I got tired of fighting it so it went bye bye. Anyway I'm very happy with my purchase, here's a few pics from the man cave.
