The Beatles 1964 Fab Four set

If anyone still needs or wants guitars Uncle Fat has the Hofner on ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Electric-Guitar-Miniature-6-75-1038-/380403323717?pt=Guitar_Accessories&hash=item5891ce1345 With a bit of modifying, you can get the other Beatles' guitars: and a Ric that can be modded to John's...

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

Here's the message I got from Unclefat: "Normally, for a new model guitar with a new size production, minium at least 25 pcs to 30 pcs. If you can arrange a group of friends interested in the same model, we can arrange the production right away. Best regards, Michael" Mike

Hello, I got word from Unclefat. He can get the George Guitar but it'll be a special order. I'll find out what the minimum order is. And, maybe, ask about another run of Hofs. Anyone else interested? Mike

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

Hello, If anyone's interested in getting the Gretsch/Cassino style (George's Sullivan) style guitar, I've contacted Unclefat about a special order. I'll see what happens. Right now, he's got the closest 1/6th scale instruments around. Mike

The Beatles 1964 Fab Four set

Hello Siquisiri, When did he announce this? A link please! BTW, I like your Roof Top bash so far. I'd like to see how your modded Spencer heads turned out. My set's still on the back burner. Thanks, Mike PS, I'm glad I got two of those Hofs! I can't find any others like it anywhere.

Sean: The "30 inch" is the scale length from the first fret to the bridge. The scale in this case refers to the harmonic used by luthiers to build stringed instruments like guitars and mandolins. As for the oversize on the Unclefat Hof... Yes, you're right the Unclefat guitar is bigger than a...

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

PJAM, Here's another Uncle Fat site. For a 1/6th scale Ramirez guitar like the one George played on "And I Love Her" it's C17: https://musicandgift.com/index.html?lang=en-us&target=d45_03.html Here're some guitars G12 would be the RIC and G08 would be the Blue Strats George and John played...

No. I checked out the dimensions of the Hofner and Unclefat's is as close to 1/6th as you'll find. The 1:1 Hof was 38-39 inches long which in true 1/6th is 6.33" to 6.5". Unclefat's Hof is 6.75". For me, that .25" difference isn't noticeable. Mike

Great! Post pics when you're done. Overall, I'm satisfied with this Hof. That was the major stumbling block to doing this project. John's RIC is easy to get. And George used different guitars including a 12 String RIC. The Hof will look about right with any 1/6th guitar George used or...

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

Well, I got a better look at the Uncle Fat Hof. Some corrections on my part. It is a burst color. One of my Hofs was a dark cherry red with a darker border (near black) but if I looked real hard I can see the lighter orange near the middle (it looks more like the Let it Be era Hof Macca used...

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

Both. It'll need a few changes to make it more noticeably realistic. The copper tuning keys and strings need to be painted silver. The head is brown, not navy blue/black and the body is bright cherry red, not a "burst" as in the mid 60s (natural cherry tapering to a dark cherry) or the dark...

There's a white pinstripe about a sixteenth inch off the edge. It's an easy fix to paint that to the edge. Mike

    1/6 Beatles Guitars, Drums, etc..

I got mine from Unclefat Friday. At first glance, they look good. The color's redder than the Probadisk version but the size and everything else seems right. I'll have a better look in the office on Monday. Mike

Pjam, On this site, Unclefat has the RIC 325 https://musicandgift.com/index.html?lang=en-us&target=d45_03.html It's G12. I've looked around and there's a place called FireBirdArts: A nice Acoustic guitar...

Hmmm, I haven't gotten anything yet for my 2 Hofs. So, I checked my pay pal email addy. Yes! Unclefat sent the invoice there. Payment sent. Now, I've got to look for some other guitars and get to building my version of the Lads... Mike

The Beatles 1964 Fab Four set

Looks really good. For those of you like me still getting the things together, the unclefat and BBICN (on ebay) might be your best bet at getting 1/6th guitars. Store-rooms doesn't list them on their website anymore. Mike

Glad they'll be coming in. Just to be sure, will unclefat notify us by email or do we go through Star Puffs to pay the balance? Mike

For those with photo editing software, here are some reference pics of the Ringo set used during the Beatles era: https://www.beatlesuits.com/Beatlesuits_Saga7.htm And, it's Drum City though on another drummer's site it was Music City... Oh, well. Mike
