I really hope this guy goes up for preorder soon. Out of all of Mars’ currently teased-and-preorder-able figures, this and Carrey Riddler are the ones I’m most excited for. I hope they do an Uma Thurman Ivy at some point too.

I kinda wish they’d sculpted his hair swept to the side, but I think it’s fine as-is. The figure looks great - it doesn’t need another Penguin-caliber delay.

Here’s a quick phone edit I did of the hair. I also made the hair on his burnt side redder.

I sold my Hot Toys Batman Forever figures in an effort to focus on the Burton figures we have gotten of late. Plus they seemed to be a future QC nightmare I was happy to avoid.

Now I am not a fan of TLJ's choices in this role and would prefer the costume was not so 90's "busy" and yet the more he shows this figure this week the more I want it 😜

Do I get this and Riddler as part of a pseudo Burton Rogue Gallery....

That's my plan. Ideally, I'd want a Billy Dee Williams Two-Face based on the comic but doubt anyone will ever make that figure.

suit needs to be more pink-ish red
As someone currently in the middle of trying to replicate this costume, it's TRICKY to get the color down. Different reference makes it look different colors due to the shimmer in the velvet. It's got a gradient to it, so it's not one solid color. It has almost a ripple-effect with complements of fuchsia, magenta, red and purple tones. I did almost 30 different test swatches trying to get something to approximate it. It seems like Mars it basing their figure on the poster art, where it does appear more solid red. Publicity photos give it a more red/purple affect. The neon lighting in the film gives it a bright purple look in scenes. The costume on display in the Warner museum tour has a more reddish color to it, too, under normal lighting.

... It's a deceptively complex costume! So, I'm inclined to give Mars a lot of lee-way. I don't think anybody could get this totally film accurate without custom dying each figure's fabric. That 90s "busy" feel is what makes this suit such a treat. All the little details (the skull buckles on his shoe, the skull boot-tip, the Yin-Yang cuff-links, the dual wristwatches--including a brass one with a red & black Yin-Yang motif, the skull lapel pin and skull suspenders...) aren't apparent at first-glance. But once you DO look, you see how much went into making this look so cracked out and fun.

I'm a fan of the smiling head sculpt, but I see more likeness to the TLJ side in the frowning, surly look and more likeness to the Rick Baker Two-Face make-up in the smiling one, ha!
