So apparently the link yesterday was the test page looks I was the 1st to order according to KP. 😂

Sadly they won't be including the mask due to cost, as it means a new mould and would cost too much. Shame but still an incredible piece!
Cool. Prolly means I was the second! Haha

Anyone received that medallion yet? I am still waiting for mine. :tap
Nowt. Maybe they'll ship at the same time as the Hammer Horror figs.
Indeed, that's what KP said:

This looks very nice especially with the organ setup. Is KP producing Universal Monsters or just tiptoeing around the license? I know their Dracula was based on the stage play, which is why I didn't purchase.

I emailed KP this morning and got a quick response:

Good morning.
This time in Usa it will be distributed Deluxe and Standard version only.
For exclusive version it will be available only un our Website.

Regards

Kaustic Plastik

So it looks like if we want the exclusive we will have to order directly through KP.

I'm out. Shocking I know. But I'm out. Not jumping through hoops for the "privilege" of purchasing a specific product. If Sideshow isn't carrying the exclusive, and the exclusive is the one I want, then I can live without it. Money saved. problem solved. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. Besides, I really am out of room for too much more of this stuff after nearly 4 decades of collecting. I like eating food too, so there's that. This just makes it easier to pass it by.

I am shocked!

I can't help but think how much you might regret that decision once these start hitting doorsteps.

Possibly. Yet I find this type of marketing extremely off putting. Despite my borderline fanatical love for classic monsters, I don't want to pay insane shipping prices from another country. I don't want to be involved in a virtual "Cabbage Patch Kids" stampede, just to be able to give someone money for a product. This, coupled with the whole "pay for something for a year, and sit around waiting for it" is infuriating for me. I guess I am getting jaded.

Have mercy. Even if Sideshow offered the exclusive with the floor and rug, I dunno if I would've bit. This stuff is getting out of hand with these prices. when The Wolfman is released, I will find a way, but I think I am going to be sitting more of these out than purchasing.

This set is really awesome, but I'm going to go with the standard. The accessories aren't worth another $200.

Definitely not ordering the website exclusive due to the shipping and tax.
Now to decide between the deluxe or standard..

The organ looks nice.. I don't think any other company will offer this again in 1/6 for at least another 10 years-ish..
Also, all of the monsters in my collection have their signature object (like coffins, etc), aside from The Creature by Mondo..
I reckon creating a coral and seaweed diorama for him is doable.. but it's not going to be the case with 1/6 organ for the Phantom..

So much for the mask not happening:lol

Well, I placed my order for the exclusive this morning. 180 is a low edition, even if it matches the demand. Not going to wait on ordering as it may not last long. I think Nosferatu had a similar exclusive edition size so I’ll be curious if the Phantom is more popular or if the added expense with him works against that.

This is yet another reason to sit it out for me. Games. Maybe I am just boring in my old age. I just want to walk into a place, see a product, make a decision, and leave with the product in my hands. "Oh, its too cost prohibitive to make a mask." Next day: "Psyche, ya idjits! Only 180! Zoinks!". It's Solomon Grundy levels of dopey.
