Sounds like the uniform isn’t so much the problem for the season one figures. It’s the body and neck. I suppose figuring out how to hide the neck joint may be a challenge on a lower cut uniform.

Then why bother hiding it? Plenty of 1/6 figs I have show the neck joint.

Yeah I don't quite understand that. The same body they used for Janeway and B'Elanna should work just as well for Tasha. Unless they've already ditched those for the neck-less kind?

So will they pivot to a Yesterday's Enterprise Tasha then? Or just abandon the character altogether?

Did he explicitly say June 16 for TNG Picard? That’s a Sunday, from what I recall everything recently has seemed to be put out for PO on Tuesday’s.

Either way, good news.
Nah I'm just guessing since he said it was very obvious when it would happen. If it's not then or Star Trek Day, both of which are Sundays, it's not obvious.

Could be it's not the body proportions, but the joints are just way too visible under the uniform.
Maybe I'm misremembering - Isn't that one of the reasons Seven needed an expensive custom body?

I think Seven needed the expensive custom body because they had to do the ribbing on the abdomen, plus those tetas, va-voom!
Also, for some reason, I think she has some kind of metal endoskeletal structure.

Well the S1 uniforms were a lot more form-fitting, but so were the female uniforms in general throughout the series, and they still made Ro's uniform a lot looser anyway. So I don't see why they couldn't do the same with Tasha. Wouldn't be ideal, but still better than nothing.

Agreed. I'd rather have a loose S1 uniform or an inaccurate "Yesterday's Enterprise" uniform than no Tasha at all. If Playmates can get away with it...

He could make season 1 versions, they would sell.
Enough to be worth it? I mean demand for TNG is a no-brainer, but I can't see S1 figures having much of a market beyond double-dippers, or latecomers who missed whatever crew members when they were available the first time around.

But, S1 unis are a hard pass for me though (I'd skip the character entirely if that were the only uni they came in), so I'm certainly not unbiased here 😅

Some of the characters looked quite different in season one/two but I don’t really know how well variants would do. I feel like the later season uniforms are more iconic and looked better overall. I wouldn’t double dip on the crew in their earlier season uniforms personally.

I think a clean shaven S1 Riker would be a cool one to have, as he almost was a totally different character early on.

And while those early uniforms are far from my favorite, they do represent the early days of TNG when I was probably the MOST excited for the show.

But I guess it's a moot point now, as NT sounds pretty certain that he won't be making any S1 figures.

What? That's wayyy too long a wait. This is why I stopped getting Exo-6 thru Sideshow.
Data has been on my shelf since January!

Six months, wow. I think I was averaging maybe 3 months after everyone else who ordered direct. As soon as TNG started coming out I switched to direct as I didn’t want to wait on them.

That Ops Console needs an androids bottom in the seat asap!
