Before you scream “oh you changed it completely to fit your narrative!!”:
I adjusted the following to max
- clarity
- brightness
- removal of shadows

Your perception of how a 501st blue hue looks like is simply a matter of how we, you included, perceive colours in dark settings. Be thankful we were not given the dark GOT treatment in ROTS.

Here is a picture I think we all have seen before, don’t know where it is from but I am certain it originates from when ROTS was released. Probably form a Lucas Film promotion. In essence, thus is how the actual blue/cyan looks like in Star Wars under normal light circumstances:

I can go on but this colour code from the Kenobi show aligns with all 501st media produced during in conjunction with the release of ROTS (eg above; Hasbro toys; Battlefront 2 clone model).



Now, can we all agree upon this is a real neat clone to add to our collection?

It isn't a match to that blue though. It is almost a bit more turqoise than the ROTS blue. As for ROTS blue being lighter than folk realise that is true, folk are used to the darker blue we most commonly see depicted. Even on the Clone Wars CGI show there are a couple 501st members with different shades of blue so I accept the variance. The gloss though is a bit weird since only fresh rookies are supposed to be shiny, once they go through battle their armour gets scuffed and dirty and loses the shinyness.

I am excited to get the figure abd maybe a spare one to customise with the Purge trooper belly and some 3D printed ROTS style weapons (ROTS rifle and ROTS carbine with reversed iron sights) to make it accurate to the Kenobi show
 
Saw a photo of 2 of these with Vader and now I need to restrain myself and be strong.

The glossy look looks even better under lights.
 
I go back and forth on this Trooper. Ultimately I think I prefer the 501st from TCW more since the blue matches with Rex and Jesse. I feel like this version would look out of place a bit.

Agreed, I don't think they'll look with Rex, Jesse, Appo, etc. But I think they'll look fantastic in a separate display with Anakin, and that's my plan.

I know, that is what scares me lol.

I have a pretty light year of collecting compared to last year and the year before that, so I see myself tracking down two of these sometime soon, especially after I get a Vader custom cape.
