“Don’t do that!” I mean, it’s there, deal with it. Arguably the best film experience of all time as far as the cultural consensus goes is 11 1/2 hours long. And many, many fans watch it as a marathon. That is a fact.

The assertion was that a film experience is automatically terrible if it exceeds the standard length. This is in response to that.

Is Snyder's Rebel Moon saga as masterful as Jackson’s LotR? No one is making that assertion. But can it be enjoyable at 6 hours? For some obviously the answer will be yes.

Peter Jackson has proven he is a competent film maker and made one of the most iconic trilogys of all time. Plus people wanted those extended cut. What has Snyder done on Peter Jackson’s level?

Again don’t do that. Unlike Snyder people actually wanted an extended version of lord of the rings. And lord of the rings is just as iconic as Star Wars. You guys are comparing a pebble to a massive mountain

Can’t say for sure, but I feel pretty confident that he’d most likely really appreciate the posts I make that call attention to the deconstructive aspects of his movies.

Even before the theatrical cuts were released they were sitting at over 9 hours so saying how iconic they are now is irrelevant.

Either the concept of a 6+ hour movie is wrong or its not.

For lord of the rings? No they aren’t and you know it. All movies are 3 hrs long. Unless you wanna binge the whole trilogy that’s not the same thing as sitting through a whole six hr film. Each lord of the rings film has a beginning middle and end. You are talking about watching a movie straight through for six hrs. Please keep up

Return of the king is 3 hrs long.

How did I justify 9 hrs I literally told you lord of the rings is a trilogy of movies that have a beginning middle and end. Much different then watching a 6 hr movie straight through like you said. That is definitely not the same thing . Like keep up man.
