Thought this was pretty cool. Really makes you appreciate just how bold and different DS9 was with it's design, which is something we'll probably never see again sadly.

And now I suddenly want to do another rewatch...

Stunning. Brought tears to my eyes in places.

Love the design, love the passion, talent & creativity put into the original series AND this upload, love Armin Shimerman's voice and the character he played . . .

. . . and I. LOVE. THIS. SHOW.

Thank-you SO much for linking this for us! :clap :clap :clap :clap :clap

God, I love this show too. It can still make me tear up all these years later.
I love Star Trek, but DS9 is on a whole other level.

So the belt certainly looks odd to me with 2 different colours - was it really that way in the show?

.
No. It wasn't.

And while the argument can be made (and frequently has been) that one can't tell the real uniform colors from a screencap, the belt is very obviously all one color.

Just opened up my Odo and he looks pretty damn good in hand. Sculpt is fantastic (even if the eyes seem maybe a bit too deeply inset) and outfit is perfectly tailored as always.

Only thing is I wish they hadn't shipped him with the belt on, as it leaves some ugly wrinkles when you remove it that I'll now need to deal with.

I also think he needs a bit more of a paunch, but that can easily be fixed with padding.

Interesting that it’s removable. Also curious about the fat suit. Mine should be here tomorrow, so we’ll see how it goes.

In theory, Dave, can it be ironed? Does the tunic appear removable?

Yeah this should be an easy shirt to remove and iron. Or maybe just a light spray of water would be enough to flatten it back out.

ODO has arrived. Definitely liking this release. It is a bit soft in the sculpt but then again so is Odo’s face in the show. The body and tailoring is solid. Not a huge fan of the belt as I don’t really remember it much but it doesn’t look too bad. Can’t wait to finish out the entire cast and crew.

Well this may have been the easiest figure mod I've ever done! I was digging through an old box of fabric and found some cheap brown cotton that was a pretty close match to the belt color. So I rubbed a bit of orange-brown pastel over it and that brought it even closer.

This was just thrown together in minutes but I'm pretty happy with the results. And even if he didn't wear the belt much in the show I think it adds such much needed detail to the figure.

Looks TONS better Dave - and great photos too!

Did you take off the original bit completely? (and if so, was it easy to do - without damaging the main part of the belt?) or did you simply add YOUR material over the top of the original?

Thanks. The tan part slides off easily. And in fact I actually switched the velcro attachment to the back, so my replacement fabric in front would sit flatter to the body.

It’s ridiculous how just that tiny patch makes all the difference. I can only assume that Exo was going for a little contrast in the area, which clearly doesn’t work.

I’m gonna see how I feel but maybe I’ll look into getting this piece dyed.

Fabulous mod work! I'm still shaking my head over some of the weird changes they've made to some of the figures. This one is the oddest.

...Or Odo-est. :)

(And this is nitpicky, but I wish the collar was a little taller.)
