I really need to stop stalling and pick this wave up.

I got these today and they are pretty damn good. Each has some minor issues but it's a real quibble to find fault, like loose wrist joints and warped plastic on accessories. Scarlett may be the best in the line so far among those I have. Up there with Destro. Yo joe!

Unfortunately it is wave 2 Baroness. That Destro is really awesome.

In other Ultimates news, wave 4 has apparently been released at least to Entertainment Earth. They came in stock and quickly sold out. The Super 7 guy claims that the forthcoming waves are being produced in lower quantities and that seems to be the case here. I wasn't going to pre-order anywhere due to these being clearanced but went ahead and pre-ordered all of those from BBTS just in case.

Looks like Entertainment Earth is shipping wave 4. Not my pics. Got them from Facebook group.

Yeah, that guy is on Hisstank. The Zartan figure was supposed to be painted, but it doesn't appear to be. If so, then the color change paint is translucent, because his regular skin tone is just the color of the plastic. Disappointing, because he lacks detailing. Also, the elbow joint doesn't change color in the sun, which is ridiculous. I really hate that they chose gimmickry over a simple, great looking figure.

Supposedly Gung Ho and Stalker are amazing, but the paint on Baroness is a bit overdone on the sculpt.

I received my Lady Jaye today, yeah the paint could be better but, it's not as bad in person. I think the sclera should be a bit larger as well as the pupils and iris when comparing it to the solicitation pics. There is a subtle pinkish paint on the cheeks so there is some paint on the skin. The major issue is the skin paint on the chest/neck area because it's painted on green plastic with no basecoat to mute the green underneath. I sprayed one of the heads with matte clear which improved the appearance of the skin on the head greatly but, that chest/neck area would require a major repaint. I might just pic up the new recolor version to swap out the heads with this version if they're an improvement.

Yeah, the greenish tint on Lady Jaye and Flint's bodies is annoying, but I'm not convinced I could make it actually look better with a repaint so I've accepted that part of it (somewhat worse on Flint because part of his biceps are also given that treatment). I was concerned about Zartan, but am feeling a bit better about it after watching this video:



I've got two on order from BBTS and plan on keeping both now.

Entertainment earth has lady Jaye and blue baroness for $16.50 on a close out deal.

Unless you're buying a lot of items in one order for free shipping at EE, the Amazon price might be the better deal.

Zartan is superb. Only problem is that he's very short. Shorter than Cobra Commander and all the females.

Just got Scarlett last week. Wow. She looks great. Big improvement over Flint and Lady Jaye. This line is one of my favorite things to collect right now. Just trying to watch for deals to make it a little more affordable. On to the search for Storm Shadow..

Nobody wants Super7's poor character choices and crappy variants (and enough of the F'ing females in every wave, which they have already burned through). We Want Spirit, Quick Kick, Snow Job, Mutt & Junkyard, Dusty, Torch, Ripper, Buzzer....come on!!!
